Ellen Evelyn Rhodes

Ellen Evelyn Landis Rhodes, 77 of Ripley went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2013 at her home following a long illness. She was born June 9, 1935 at Jackson County a daughter of the late Perry and Frances Casto Landis. She was a graduate of Liberty Bible College, a homemaker and attended the Salt Hill Church and formerly attended the Goshen Baptist Church. She was a dedicated Christian was known for her work at Church. She is survived by her sons Ricky Rhodes (Jackie) of Big Chimney and Jason Rhodes of Ripley; daughters Veronica Fisher (Randy) of Ripley, Margaret Hambrick (Jay) of Parkersburg and Regina Harrison of Kenna; sister JoAnn Dunham of Canton; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Eugene Oral Rhodes; brothers Otis, Dwight and Ronnie Landis and her sisters Lessie Peters and Helen Dancy. Funeral Service will be 1 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor David Fields officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.
