Elmer Lee Grady

Elmer Lee Grady, 79 of Joes Run Community, Sandyville went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 3, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 4, 1933 at Jackson County a son of the late Carl and Mildred Lupardus Grady. Elmer was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum with 36 years, enjoyed farming and was a member of the Mt. Hope Church of God. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Phyllis Kerns Grady; sons Richard (Cookie) Grady and Randy (Kathy) Grady of Sandyville; daughters Lisa (Rev. David) Hinzman of Sandyville and Linda (Steve) Donohew of Evans; brother Lloyd Grady of Sandyville; sisters Dorothy Grady and Hazel Tolley both of Sandyville; his grandchildren Alisha Wilson, Amanda Holbert, Ashley Grady, Crystal Harrison, Brent Grady, Hannah Grady, Michael Hinzman, Amber Curry, Matthew Hinzman, Stacy McCune, Mylinda Smith, Josh Donohew and Jeremy Donohew; great grandchildren Caleb Wilson, Grady Wilson, Kaitlyn Holbert, Levi Holbert, Hunter Harrison, Fisher Harrison, Warren Hunter, Brylee Hunter, Trenton Hunter, Charlie McCune, Nicc McCune, Bradley Smith and Autumn Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son-in-law Wetzel Stover. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Creel Kerns and Rev. David Hinzman officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at eh funeral home.
