Emogene Skidmore Tomlin, 94 of Ripley, passed away April 8, 2024 at Jackson General Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born June 15, 1929 in Poca, Putnam County, WV, daughter of the late Harry and Ruth Lanham Skidmore. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening and farming. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her Sunday dinners.
She is survived by two sons, Alan and his wife Marilyn Tomlin and William R. and his wife Karen Tomlin all of Leroy; daughter, Diana (Joe) Huxley and her husband Joe of Parkersburg: sister Nancy (Wayne) Lanham; grandchildren, Chris Tomlin, Amanda (Eric) McCune, Missy McDermott, Alicia Fisher, Rodney Tomlin, Jeff (Kristen) Tomlin, Stormy Huxley, Joseph (Isabella Ruble) Huxley, James (Michelle) Tomlin, Stephanie Tomlin, Quentin Tomlin, and Crystal (Highhorse) Little; also survived by 18 great grandchildren
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband William H. Tomlin and a son, Harry Tomlin.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Robert Keen officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Given
