Emzy Kerns

Emzy Lovell Kerns 81 of Ripley passed away August 16, 2014 at Eldercare of Ripley following a long illness. He was born March 10, 1933 at Kentuck, a son of the late Kenneth C. and Cordelia Southall Kerns. He was a Welder for FMC and also served as a welder in Coal Mines. He was a member of the Prayer and Faith Church where he served as an Assistant Pastor. He is survived by his wife Mildred Crihfield Kerns; sisters Nellie M. Kerns Ingram and Sherry J. Kerns Sheppard and a brother Dale R. Kerns. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings Hansford L. Kerns, Eurada Kerns, Clyde A. Kerns, Okey Francis Kerns, Richard L. Kerns, Otho A. Kerns, Denver W. Kerns, Izetta M Kerns and Sue E. Kerns. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Bill Riddle officiating. Burial will be in the Kerns Cemetery, Kentuck. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Kerns Cemetery Fund, 17315 Parkersburg Rd., Elizabeth, WV 26143.
