Ernie J. Riter

Ernie J. Riter, 64, of Kenna went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was born July 28, 1953 at Weirton, WV a son of the late Ernie and Mary Williams Riter. Ernie loved the farm, his tractor, truck, family, and five dogs; Chachi, Molly, Wolfy, Dusty, and Sally. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Cheryl Critchfield Riter; Children Kevin Riter of Kenna, Renee Metz of Spencer, Chris Riter of Wintersville, OH, Joe Riter of Dillonvale, OH and Ed Riter of Florida; Sisters Phyllis Cain (Tom) and Ruth Baranowski (Tom); Brothers Ron Riter (Judy), Dave Riter (Judy), Guy Riter, Dale Riter (Velma) and Keith Riter. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren In addition to his parents Ernie was preceded in death by a brother, Jay Riter and a sister, Virginia Patchin. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 8th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
