Esther Cadiz Belleza

Esther Cadiz Belleza, 78, peacefully passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Bonita View Hospice Home in Bonita, California.

Queen Esther retired as a nurse in 2008, then gradually migrated from Virginia Beach, VA to Ravenswood, WV with her loving late husband of 52 years, 4 months and 25 days Danilo Panag Belleza (Ret. U.S. Navy).

A life-long Seventh-day Adventist, she and Danny devoted their time and resources to several missions of the church throughout the world from Virginia to California to the Philippines- in between and beyond. Their last home church, which they loved very deeply, was the Ripley Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ripley, WV where they bonded with many, many others as a country-living family.

Mama and Daddy, Ini and Ama, are respectively missed by their sons, Bobby Dax Belleza (Lori Anne) and Norman Cadiz Belleza (Christopher S. Oswald); their one an only apo Taylor Anne Belleza and eight of Mama’s feline family.

Our family would like to thank you for your expressions of love sent through calls, texts, posts, food and flowers. Your love and support have been deeply felt from near and far.

Services to celebrate Esther’s life will be Saturday, May 2nd from 4-6 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with a service starting at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 3rd at the Ripley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2156 Ripley Road, Ripley, WV 25271. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with service starting at 1 p.m. Esther will be laid to rest alongside her husband in West Virginia National Cemetery, 42 Veterans Memorial Lane, Grafton, WV 26354 at 1 p.m. Monday, May 4th.
