Eva Virginia “Ginger” Collins, 85, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born January 27, 1939 at Backus Mountain in Fayette County, a daughter of the late Okey and Cora (Goins) McClanahan. Virginia lived for her children and grandchildren and loved attending all the events they were involved in. She also enjoyed going to flea markets or just sitting on her porch swing enjoying time with her family. When her health allowed it, Virginia attended Mercy Baptist Church.
Virginia is survived by her children Joyce Cranfield (Frankie), Danny Collins, Donna Keeney (Bruce), Terry Picarella (Steve) and Michael Collins. Grandchildren Stacie McClung, Keith Cranfield, Michelle Harmon, Ashli Keeney, Bryan Collins, Casey Laird, Ryan Picarella, Brucie Keeney and Danny Collins. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Edward Collins as well as 11 brothers and sisters and a granddaughter, Erin Harvey.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m Friday, January 17th at Mercy Baptist Church with Pastors Bradley Goodwin and Kevin McClung officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
