Everett Ray Mccrady

Everett "Ray" McCrady, 94, of Ripley went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley.

Ray was born March 23, 1930 at Frozen Camp in Jackson County, a son of the late Holly Dexter and Nettie (Prudie) McCrady. Ray was a mechanic for many years starting at Ripley Chevrolet and later Tom Peden Country. He would later retire from Constellium in Ravenswood. Ray enjoyed traveling around to different churches and signing alongside his wife, Jacqueline.

Ray is survived by nieces and nephews Judith Rhodes (Steve) of Ripley, Pete Scyoc (Angie) of Ripley, Paul Scyoc (Dawn) of Clarksville, TN, Linda Carozza of Orville, OH and Dexter Starcher (Sandy) of Madison, WV.

In addition to his parents Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline McCrady; infant son Johnny Ray McCrady; brothers Holly, Okey and Harvey McCrady and a sister Irene Miller.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1st at Waybright Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:30 until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Online memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.waybrightfuneralhome.com
