Frankie D. Shamblin

Frankie D. Shamblin, 80, of Ripley died Thursday, January 10, 2018 following a short illness. She was born September 6, 1938 in Kanawha County, a daughter of the late Aubrey and Ada Kersey Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Shamblin; son Mickelle Shamblin; daughter Kimberly Shamblin Wright; brother Larry W. Johnson Frankie loved spending time with her family, cleaning house, and a good cup of coffee. She is survived by her brother, and Hobert Johnson (Janet) of Florida; Sisters Betty Johnson Ray of Sissonville, Marble Johnson Smith of Kenna, June Johnson Albright (Bill) of Shelby, NC, Sue Johnson Smith of Sissonville, Patty Johnson Taylor (Rick) of Sissonville; Grandchildren Mike (Alisha) Shamblin, Josh (Anne) Shamblin, Courtney (Shawn) White, Matt Shamblin, Andy (Tracy) Randolph, and Veronica Fisher; Daughter-in-law Vicki Shamblin. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews A memorial service to celebrate Frankie’s life will be held 3 p.m. , January 20th at Waybright Funeral Home with Rev. George Webb officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m until the time of service. Following the service there will be a time of food and fellowship in the Parsons-Vail Family Center located inside the funeral home.
