Franklin Delano Rogers

Franklin Delano Rogers, 87 of Ripley, passed away March 5, 2025 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

He was born December 16, 1937 in Rhonda, WV, son of the late Frederick and Vada Tenney Rogers. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked in the coal mines for several years and was the last surviving West Virginia member of the Cold War Patriots. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a passion for hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Anita Rachel Rogers, and siblings, Freddy Joe Rogers, Tommy Rogers, Danny Rogers, Joyce Wells, Rose Chapman, Jean Chapman and Beverly Buckner.

He is survived by his sons, Frank (Lesley) Rogers, Fred (Cheri) Rogers, Bryan Rogers and Bruce (Jo) Rogers; brother, Phillip Rogers and sisters, Frances Branham, Sharon Brae and Patty Parker. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Lyle Kerby officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
