Freda Mae Raines

Freda Mae Raines, 86, left this world on January 28, 2020 at Ravenswood Village surrounded by her family. She was born October 28, 1933 in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Charles W. “Bud” and Thelma Merrill Beegle. Freda was a stay at home mom who enjoyed sewing and gardening. But most of all she loved being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her children Judy Raines of Mineral Wells, Jerry (Carolyn) Raines of Mineral Wells, Allen (Amy) Raines of Ripley, and Sherry (Larry) Fizer of Ravenswood. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, as well as one on the way. She is also survived by a brother, Donald Yates of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Orville “Cleo” Raines. As well as a sister, Carolyn Crites and a brother, Howard Beegle. Funeral service will be 2p.m. Monday, February 3rd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
