Freeland D. Jones

Freeland Dale Jones, 64 of Sandyville, passed away, June 11, 2016 at Jackson General Hospital. He was born December 30, 1951 at Charleston, a son of the late Holbert and Flora Howell Jones. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and also served in the 812th Army Reserve Unit with over 8 years of service. He was a Plumber and Carpenter and loved Farming. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Emily and his son Freeland Dale Jones II; and brothers Delmer and Sturgill Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Jones of Ripley; a granddaughter, Paige Jones of Ripley; brothers Herman Jones of Goldtown, Len Jones of Letart, Lacy Jones of Daleville, AL, Tom Jones of Waverly and Dennis Jones of Fayetteville, NC; sisters Elenora Harris of Charleston, Linda Kline of Cleveland, GA, Fredlene Jones of Locust Grove, GA, Colene McDaniels of Dunbar, Sue Price of South Charleston, Gail Huffman of St. Albans and Diana Stanton of Kenna. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his nephews, Roger and Rodney Cole of Blacksburg, VA for their Prayers, concerns and thoughtfulness. In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated and a Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
