Garry E. Kay, 68 of Ripley passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his home surrounded by family following a long illness. He was born January 9, 1947 at Ripley, a son of the late Everett and Ina Barnette Kay. He was a veteran of the US Army Reserves in Ripley and worked for the United States Postal Service with 38 years of service. Garry enjoyed Hunting and Farming. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie Gandee Kay; daughter Neida Price and her husband Brian of Ripley; step son R.W. Hall and his wife Brandy; grandchildren Paige, Ali, Kain and Madison Price and Kayla, Katie, Kasey and Kurtis Hall; sister Violet Kerns and her husband Arthur of Ripley and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Larry Kay, brother Kenneth Kay; sisters Lucille Hinzman, Luella Spears and Viola Lewis. Funeral Service will be 4 pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Steve Raines officiating. Burial with Military Rites performed by American Legion Post 107, Ripley will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 2 pm until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
