Gary Casto

Gary Basil Casto, 77, of Ripley, WV, passed away on March 19, 2026. He was born on January 22, 1949, the son of the late Basil and Hazel Casto.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Tina Koeber; grandson, Eric (Sarah) Koerber; and sisters, Avis Miller, and Sharon Weaver.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Janet Casto.

Gary was an avid amateur radio operator and helped repair many CB radios. His call name was “Coal Digger”.

There will be a graveside held on Thursday, March 26th at 11a.m. at Siniaville Cemetery. The immediate family would like to invite those who wish to share memories in honor of Gary to join them at the graveside. Per Gary’s wishes he leaves behind his final words; “For all of those that have been by my side through laughter and heartache, thank you, I love you. For anybody who didn’t, just remember that when I die, I will be buried upside down so that you, along with the whole world can kiss my ass.
