Gary Alan Waskey

Gary Alan Waskey, 66 of Ripley went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Jackson General Hospital. He was born May 3, 1950 at Ravenswood, a son of William “Bill” Waskey of Ripley and the late Una Belle Kerns Waskey. He was a graduate with the Ripley High School Class of 1968 and a graduate of West Virginia Tech. He retired as Vice President of Marketing for Health Smart. Gary was the loving husband of Becky Vaughan Waskey, Son of Bill and the late Una Belle Waskey, loving father of Matthew (Charissa) and Casie (Josh). Amazing grandfather of Aferdita, Annalise and Brody and several foster children. He is also survived by his sister Beverly Zabolocki and brothers Greg (Connie) and Mark (Traci) and many family and friends. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Ripley Baptist Temple, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of donations he would prefer donations made to the Atlanta Braves so they have a better chance to win the World Series, but since that isn't realistic please make donations to the Ripley, Little league.
