George Nickoles

George Nickoles, 81 of Sissonville, passed away September 27, 2022 following an extended illness.

George was born October 28, 1940 in Ohio. He retired from the Laborers Union #1353. He loved traveling to Florida to go fishing , be outdoors and build anything with the tools he collected. George will be remembered for his big heart and his willingness to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Taylor Nickoles; children Mary (Glen) Myers, William “Jerry” (Frances) Hodge, Joann Keener, Donna Kay (Paul) Ballard and Terry Ellen; grandchildren Allen Myers, April Hunt, John Hodge and Stephanie Mayo; siblings Danny, Rudy, Joe, Mike and Sophia. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2:30 pm Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Pocatalico with Rev. Herman Robinson officiating. A time of visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 pm until the time of service on Monday at the Mausoleum.
