George C. Rhodes

George Clifford Rhodes, 88, of Ripley passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital. George was born May 24, 1933 at Kenna a son of the late William Rhodes. George was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed working on the farm and raising cattle as well as hunting and fishing. He is survived by his brothers Curtis Rhodes (Eunice), Darrel Rhodes (Ruth), Benny Rhodes, and Carl Rhodes (Eileen); sister Marie Goff; grandchildren Crystal Glover (Charles Graham), Austin Rhodes, Grace Rhodes and Adam Rhodes. He is also survived by a great-grandson Tyler Rhodes. In addition to his father, George was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Bonnie Rhodes; son Allen Rhodes and brothers Ronald and Edward Rhodes. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 28th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visistation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
