Geraldine Anderson

Geraldine Anderson, 89, of Kenna passed away October 12, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston following an extended illness. She was born June 22, 1927 a daughter of the late Boyd and Hallie Ashby Raines. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leo Anderson, borthers Daris, Joe, Dick, and Roy, sisters Macie Click, Faye Rowley, Wanda Mclain, and Janet Cogar. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church in Kenna where she served as treasurer and Sunday school teacher for many years. She is survived by daughters Audrey (Lowell) Parsons of Kenna; Charlene (Charles) McClain of Staas Mill; son Roger (Sue) Anderson of Ripley; grandchildren Gail (David) Pursley of Kenna; Cindy (Donald Harris of Cottageville; Randy (Sara) Casto of Kenna; Lisa McClain of Houston, TX; Melissa (Andrew) Haston of Hurricane; Brian (Tina) Anderson of Chesapeake, VA and Wendy (Brad) Koonce of Wilmington, NC; 10 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Keith (Bonnie) Raines of Cottageville; Sister Hazel Rhodes of Ripley. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at Plainview Baptist Church, Kenna with the Rev. Lymon Anderson and Ray Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery at Plum Orchard.
