Geraldine Dewees

Geraldine Mae Parsons DeWees, 88 of Ripley, entered her Heavenly home on December 8, 2024.

She was born April 8, 1936 at Belgrove, daughter of the late Cleo and Macie Ray Parsons. She was a Christian and a homemaker. In previous years she worked as a Teachers Aide, a job she enjoyed very much. She also loved making and quilting quilts, two of which went to Australia. She loved her family and her little dog, Levi.

She leaves behind her son Rondis DeWees and his wife Eileen whom she loved very much and considered her the daughter she never had, of Ripley; grandsons Nathan (Kristin) DeWees of Evans and Chandler DeWees of Ravenswood; brothers Eugene (Donna) Parsons of Spencer and Sherman (Alice) Parsons of Harmony.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Delmer Cleo DeWees: sisters Emogene DeWees and Verla Myers; brothers, Jack Souldis, Carl Shouldis, Kenneth Parsons and Burton Parsons.

Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Kelly Mellen officiating. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
