Glen E. Jeffries

Glen Eugene Jeffries, 88 of Gay, WV passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 18, 2025.

He was born June 11, 1937 at Gay, son of the late Lafe and Dora Hess Jeffries. Glen is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jean Casto Jeffries. He was a carman for CSX Railroad with 31 years of service. Glen spent most of his early years working, dancing, fishing and enjoyed going on four wheeler rides with his family.

He is also survived by his three children, Stanley (LaDarin) Jeffries, Debby Fields and Todd (Kathy) Jeffries; five grandchildren, Jason (Jamie) Jeffries, Matt ( Ann) Jeffries, Ashley (Blake) Whittaker, Nick Jeffries and Chad (Whitney) Fields; 14 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; and good family friends, Dana and Sherri Fisher.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and son-in-law, Billy Fields. He will be missed dearly and remembered as a devoted husband and loving and caring father and grandfather.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the Jeffries Cemetery, Aplin Ridge Road, Gay, WV with Roger Smith. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley is serving the family.
