Gregory Alan Morgan, age 65, of Sandyville, rode through the gates of heaven on October 8, 2025.
He was born on March 27, 1960 in El Paso, TX; a son of Dottie Morgan of Sandyville and the late John Max Morgan. Greg was a graduate of Ripley High School, class of 1978. Greg later retired from Alcan Rolled Products. He was a member of United Steel Workers 5668 and Carpenters Union of WV.
He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Kathy Boyd; their daughter, Teresa (Steve) Kelly; grandchildren, Alexandra Kelly and Noah Kelly; and his great granddaughter, Rhiannon, who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his brother, Mike (Brenda) Morgan, and nephew, Isaiah (Kelsey) Morgan.
Greg and Kathy shared a passion for the open road, traveling together on their Harley through all 48 lower states as well as Canada. At home, Greg took great pride in caring for his lawn, where his meticulous touch showed in every detail. Greg also enjoyed Saturday night card games with his friends, was an avid golfer and a fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers. Greg will be greatly missed by family and friends.
There will be a funeral service held at Waybright Funeral Home on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 2p.m. with visitation from 12p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Independence cemetery in Sandyville, WV. Afterward, please join us for fellowship and celebration of life at the Sandyville United Methodist church.
