Gretta J. Flanagan

Gretta Jean (Parrish) Flanagan, 90 of the Comet Community of Ravenswood passed away September 8, 2024 at CAMC Memorial Hospice following an extended illness.

She was born November 30, 1933 in Clifftop, WV daughter of the late Lonnie and Ethel Beaver Parrish. She was a member of the Comet United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was known as the “family historian”. She also enjoyed gardening and knitting.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William J. Flanagan; son William Carl Flanagan; daughter, Debora Kay Flanagan: brothers, Lowell, Paul, John, Mark and Larry Parrish and a brother-in-law, Sterley Carl Flanagan Jr.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Flanagan and his wife Luann; daughter-in-law Vicki Flanagan; grandchildren Nicholas Flanagan, Nathan (April) Flanagan, Cara (Justin) Miller and Ryan (Taylor) Flanagan and great grandchildren Travis, Autumn, Everley, Barrett and Beckett Flanagan; Sister, Diana Keller; brother Dallas Parrish.

Funeral Service will be 12:30 pm Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Rev. Herman Robinson officiating.  Burial will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
