Harold E. "Punk" Starcher

Harold E. "Punk" Starcher Harold E. "Punk" Starcher Jr., 84, passed away at his Ripley home Monday evening following an extended illness. He was born August 13, 1928 in Logan, WV, son of the late Harold and Margaret McIntosh Starcher. He was a civil engineer with many projects to his credit and owned and operated Chartwell Corporation in Ripley. Punk was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Ripley American Legion Post. He was also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Ripley Rotary Club and the First Presbyterian Church of Ripley. In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated and a joint service for Punk and his wife Virginia "Ginny" Starcher, who preceded him in death by five months, will be announced along with a complete obituary.
