Harvey A Wilson

Harvey A. Wilson Jr., 84, of Vienna passed away at his home August 7, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 20, 1932, a son of the late Harvey and Ella Wilson. Harvey graduated from Ripley High School and went on to attend Morris Harvey College. His career was in the auto industry, where he excelled in leadership to become VP of Cherokee Ford in Woodstock, GA. He not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made throughout his lifetime. Harvey was a man who gave from the heart and was loved by everyone who knew him. His hobbies included golfing, walking, and joining his friends for morning coffee. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Wilson, 6 children, Debbie Wilson, Sherry Wilson, Judy Eberhart (Dennis), Kimberly Farrah (Tom), Jay Brock, Gregory Brock (Sharon), 4 grandchildren, Haley Meredith (Craig), Tommy Farrah, Kaitlin Farrah, Christopher Brock (Allyson), 2 great-grandchildren, Bryn and Cameran Meredith, 3 brothers, Henry Wilson, Doug Wilson, Bobby Wilson, and 1 sister, Alice. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Wilson, and a sister, Helen Casto. A special thank you to Rex Johnson and Hospice who so lovingly took care of Harvey in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harvey’s memory to Amedisys Hospice, 417 Grand Park Dr, Vienna, WV 26105. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 7 pm Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. A celebration of Harvey’s Life will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
