Hazel Dean Easter

Hazel Dean (Parrish) Easter, 92, of Le Roy, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, Saturday, January 25, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Cadmus Hamilton and Osa Lola Landfried Parrish; husband of 57 years: Robert (married March 10, 1950); brothers: Delbert, Ray, Clinton, Delmar, Clifton, Earl, Paul, Hank; Sisters: Edith, Elsie, Ruth and Marie.

She is survived by her son Robbie Lee (Diana) Easter, and daughter Judith Deann (Randy) Barr; grandchildren: Daniel Lee Easter , Jennifer Kay Easter, Andrea Deann (Corey) Lambert, Adam Lee (Julie) Barr, Naomi Renee (Alan) Chapman; Great grandchildren: Kellen, Liam, Kiera, Ashlen, Arianna, Eden, Josalyn, Westen, Jace and Axton.

Hazel was proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, rejoicing in their accomplishments, whether it be new jobs, grades, or sports.

She and Robert were among those that reopened the Joe's Run Church. She was secretary, teacher, and sang in a gospel group. She loved God, Robert, her family, her church family, and taking care of people. She often opened her home to those in need, providing hospitality and assistance.

She often turned her home into a showplace with elaborate Christmas decorations, and enjoyed hosting the family gatherings. She enjoyed the peace and solitude of the mountains, vacationing with her family in their rustic cabin in the Potomac Highlands. Her hobbies included making flower arrangements, collecting dolls, and making unique dolls of her own design.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 2nd at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastors Deron Smith and Joey Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Fairplain Cemetery.
