Helen “Chick” H. Casto, 79 of Ripley passed away December 22, 2018 at OSU Wexner Medical Hospital, Ohio following an extended illness. Chick was born February 1, 1939 in Ripley, a daughter of the late Glenn and Lessel Hall. She was a graduate of the class of 1956 at Ripley High School. She retired from the City of Ripley with 44 years of service. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, D. Gene Casto; survived by daughters, Lynn Mitchell and her husband Curtis of Columbus, Ohio and Lea Pryde and her husband Jim of Laurel, MD; four grandchildren; Chelsea Hall Mitchell, and Curtis Edward Mitchell, II both of Columbus, Matthew Gene Knapp of Ravenswood and Isaac Glenn Cobb of Laurel, MD, and several nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her sisters, Delcia Kerwood, Hallie Carney, Dorothy Stonestreet and brother, Giles Hall. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 1:10 p.m. for Pine Hill Cemetery where a graveside memorial service will be held.
