Helen "Bessie" Harrison

Helen Elizabeth “Bessie” Elmore Harrison, 68 of Kenna, passed away March 24, 2024 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born March 14, 1956 in Charleston, WV, daughter of the late Forest Edward Pauley and Dorothy (Toney) Gibson. She worked as a Florist and enjoyed being with her grandchildren, Ashton “Sug” and Bessie, who she called her babies. She enjoyed working in her flowers, cats, playing computer games and taking care of people.

She is survived by her children, Andrew “Rusty” Elmore, Johnny (Cynthia) Elmore, Julia (Michael) Smith, Patricia (Jeremy) Myers and Lisa Elmore (B.J.) ; brothers, Willie Gibson and Troy Pauley and sister Critter Gibson. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Jackie Harrison and Andrew Elmor; brother Danny Ray Gibson and sister, Becky Gibson.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Fisher Cemetery, Sissonville. Friends may call on the family 11:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
