Henry Allen Winter

Henry Allen Winter, 74 of Kenna, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Charleston General Hospital, Charleston. He was born December 12, 1942 at Fairplain, a son of the late Ward and Justine Johnson Winter. He was a 1960 graduate of Ripley High School, a U.S. Army Veteran and was owner operator of Winter Enterprises. Henry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, golfing and will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a member of the Ripley Masonic Lodge #16, AF & AM and The Grasslick Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Cawthon Winter; son Daniel Winter of Morristown, TN; daughter Misty Adcock and her husband Sean of Kenna; sister Naomi Donohew and her husband Grant of Evans; grandchildren Cole and Caisie Adcock, Harley and Peyton Winter and Torren Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William “Bill” Winter. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Grasslick Baptist Church, Kenna, with Pastor Jimmie Compton officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites by Ripley Lodge # 16 will be in the Grasslick Cemetery, Kenna. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and one hour prior to the service at the church.
