Hester Marie Stover

Hester Marie Stover, 93, of Ripley passed away March 14, 2015 at the home of her daughter, Loretta, in Covington, GA following a long illness. She was born June 14, 1921 at Naomi, Raleigh County, WV a daughter of the late John Mitchell and Catherine Massey Clay. She was a home maker and member of the Ripley Baptist Temple where she enjoyed singing in the Church Choir. She was also a longtime volunteer at Jackson General Hospital. She is survived by her daughter Loretta Hatfield and her husband Richard of Covington, GA; former daughter-in-law Mona Abernathy and her husband Phillip of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil C. Stover and a son Ted Stover. Hester was the last surviving of nine siblings in her family. Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Ripley Baptist Temple, Charleston Dr., Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Fairplain Cemetery near Ripley. Friends may call from noon until 2:30 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. A procession will leave the funeral home at 2:45 pm for the service at the Ripley Baptist Temple at 3:00 pm.
