Ida Kathryn Wilson

Ida K. (Haught) Wilson passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Willows surrounded by her family.

She was born in Fairview, WV February 2, 1929 to Edwin W. and Maude E. (Bissett) Haught. She had worked at Jackson General Hospital as an LPN.

Ida is survived by her 3 children Marla Reynolds (Ray, her favorite son-in-law) of Vienna, Randall of Sandyville and Thomas E. (Maxine) of Ripley. “Mimi” is also survived by 3 granddaughters Lisa Noland (Chris), Cindy Hoover of Vienna and Valerie McClintock of Pomeroy, OH; 3 grandsons Tim Wilson of Ravenswood, Sean Wilson of Columbus, OH and Nicolas Wilson of Vienna. Also left behind are great-granddaughters Tiffany Johnson (Sparky) of Parkersburg, Taylor and Brooklyn Hoover of Vienna, Alana Gillikin of Virginia Beach and her first great-great-granddaughter Collyns Marie Johnson. Siblings Sandra Moore of Ravenswood, Buddy J. Haught of Ravenswood and Richard Haught Sabrina of Worthington, WV. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and friends survive.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edwin K. “Buzzy” in 1999; son David K. Wilson; brother Jimmy W. Hauhgt (Wanda), Vickie Keffer and Billie Cain.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 3rd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Sabrina Haught officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ida’s memory to Epworth United Methodist Church, 299 N. Church St., Ripley, WV 25271.
