Ila Margaret Petty, 72, of Sandyville passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Jackson General Hospital following an extended illness. She was born July 16, 1944 at Sandyville, WV a daughter of the late Harley and Velma Morgan Dillon. She was a homemaker who had a passion for fishing. She is survived by her husband of 51 years John Petty; sons Lee Petty (Angie) of Sandyville and Frankie Slusher of Wood County; brother Ed Dillon of Sandyville; sisters Gail Riffle of Ravenswood and Christine Lane (Harry) of Sandyville; half sister Audrey Fisher of Sandyville; grandchildren Josh Border (Tami), Amanda Border (David), and Tweetle Barker (Zach); great-grandchildren Issiah Border, Easton Border, Caleb Lane, Ethan Lane, Emma Barker, and one on the way; friend Ralph Bowling; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Friends may call on the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
