Inez Faye Skeen

Inez Faye Rowley Skeen, 68, of Gay Road, Ripley passed away June 4, 2016 at her home following a long illness. She was born October 21, 1947 in Rockcastle, WV, a daughter of the late Lester and Elaine Rains Rowley. Faye was a nurse and a Mid-Wife for several years and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and entertaining family and friends. Her home was always a welcome place. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and always looked forward to them spending time with her during summer breaks at the family home. She is survived by sons James Skeen, retired Major Mark Phillip Skeen, a physicians assistant of Columbus, Georgia, and Bryan Skeen, production coordinator at AY manufacturing; grandchildren Jacob Tyler, Lauren Nicole, and Nathan Kyle Skeen of Columbus, Georgia; her sisters, Mary Hembree of Erlanger, KY, "Mickey" Martin of Ft. Wright, KY and Glenna Witschy of Ravenswood; brother John Rowley of High Point, NC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Peachie" Skeen; brothers Benjamin Rowley and Homer "Rusty" Rowley. Faye graciously donated her body to the West Virginia University Medical School. A joint memorial service celebrating the lives of Walter "Peachy" Phillip Skeen and Inez Faye Skeen will be held at Noon, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. A time of visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Saturday. Following the service there will be a time of food and fellowship in the Parsons-Vail Family Center located inside the funeral home.
