Ira Clinton Fisher

Ira Clinton Fisher, 82 of Ripley, passed away peacefully November 22, 2022 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born March 1, 1940 at Statts Mill, WV, son of the late W. Hiram and Clara Fields Fisher. He was a heavy equipment operator for Famco/Coleman Trainor and a member of the United Steel Workers. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and golfing with his grandsons. He was a prankster who enjoyed pestering his wife, family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Clinton; sisters Martha Ann and Ermalie; brothers John Henry, Philbert, Ross, Eugene and Stanley.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lillian Rhodes Fisher; daughter Donna and son in law Mike; grandsons Dalton and Darrel; great grandsons Brylin and Wyatt; brothers Harvey, Mickey and Jimmy Fisher and sister Rosalie.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 28, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Dee Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Fisher-Litton Cemetery, Statts Mill. A time of visitation with the family will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the funeral home.
