Iris June Lanham

Iris June Lanham, 90 of Ripley, WV, passed away June 9, 2024 at Jackson General Hospital.

Iris was born April 26, 1934 in Ravenswood, WV, daughter of the late Arlege and Mary Lanham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Barney; brothers, Keith, Cleve “Sonny” and David; sisters Helen and Pauline; son Phil and grandchildren Simon and Brittani.

Iris is survived by her daughters Robin (Jeff) Franks and Leica; sons Larry Skeen, Jeff Barney, Gary Lanham and Oggie (Jennifer) Barney; grandchildren, Jeanine Genera, Kahauna Dowlen, Miles Harry, Madison Barney, Mason Barney, Jalayna Pope, Jeffery Franks, Nikki Cogdill, Melinda Weeks, Cameron Barney, Logan Barney and Koda Barney and many great grandchildren. Iris is also survived by dear friends, James and Ruth Parsons.

Her wishes for cremation is being honored and a service will be held at a later date. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, is serving the family.
