Jack Williams

Jack Williams, 74, of Fairplain, passed away Sunday morning, July 13, 2014, at Jackson General Hospital following an extended illness. Jack was born in Jackson County on May 13, 1940, son of the late Okey and Amie Deweese Williams. He was an Army veteran and retired as a retread specialist in the tire industry. Jack was a Christian and member of the Hickory Grove Church, Kenna. Surviving: His wife of 56 years, Belle Williams; Sons, Richard Williams (Cathy) of Ripley, Jack Williams Jr., (Brenda Fisher) of Ripley, Darrell Williams (Tina) of Kenna and Randy Williams of Ripley; Daughters, Virginia Williams Fisher (Jimmy) of Ripley, Janet Williams Spencer (Jonathan) of Ripley and Amy Williams Bauguess (Keith) of Ripley; Brothers, Earl Williams of Ripley, Donald Williams of Cleveland, Ohio and James Redman of Ripley; Sister, Ora Harrison of Gay; 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and Lilly and Lacy, two Chihuahuas that Jack dearly loved. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a grandson and five siblings. A service celebrating the life of Jack Williams will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Waybright Funeral Home beginning at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Allen Thompson officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday morning at the Casto Cemetery on Stonelick Road at Kenna with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 107, Ripley.
