Jack Yearego

Jack Lee Yearego 67 made his journey to be with The Lord on June 26, 2014 from the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston with his family by his side. He was born in Rainelle, WV on November 11, 1946 to parents James and Clarice (Duncan) Yearego. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Patty Sue Yearego (infant) and Rosemarie Yearego LaRocca. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Pamela Reese Yearego. Daughters Joni (Chris) Casto and Jami (Billy) Pittenger and son Kenny (Beth) Swisher. Three brothers and two sisters Jimmy (Ann) Yearego of Rainelle Joe (Doris) Yearego of Beckley, Jerry Yearego of California, Connie Yearego Fugate of Rainelle, Margaret (Kerry)Tincher of Beckley; He was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Matthew (Sara) Clinton, Tyler Pittenger, Cody Pittenger, Trae Swisher, Drew Swisher, Kaleb Swisher, and Kaitlyn Swisher and one great grandson Bentley Wilson Clinton. Jack also had special nieces and nephews in his life. Tony (Stephanie) and Curtis (Patricia)Yearego of Beckley, Tammy (Andy) Daniels of Tennessee, Brad (Shelley) Tincher and Tara (Jabo) Waid of Virginia. Jack graduated from Rainelle HS in 1964 where he lettered in football and basketball. He attended Beckley College and graduated from Morris Harvey College with a degree in Education with a major in Mathematics. He later earned a Master Degree in Educational Administration. Jack attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rainelle and Calvary UM Church in Ripley. He retired from Jackson County in 2005 after 38 years of service. He began his teaching career at Evans Elementary. He then taught math at Ripley Junior High and Ripley Middle School. He served as assistant principal at Ripley Middle School and Ripley Elementary School. During his career he coached Hershey Track and Field, track and cross country at Ripley Middle School and cross country at Ripley High School. The family is honoring Jack's wishes for cremation and no formal service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Hubbard House in Charleston or Jack Yearego Memorial Scholarship Fund at Jackson County Community Foundation, P.O.
