James Herla Hall, Jr.

October 24, 1935 — January 23, 2016

James Herla Hall, Jr., 80, of Sissonville passed away, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Center following an extended illness. He was born October 24, 1935 in Massachusetts, a son of the late James and Ruby Willis Hall. Jim proudly served his country for 4 years in the Air Force. Later, he would retire from Ravenswood Aluminum after working there for 30 plus year. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Louise Bishop Hall; sons Jim Hall(Tracy) of Ohio, Thomas Hall(Rhonda) of Kentucky, and Michael Hall(Rhonda) of Ravenswood; Stepson Howard Bennett(Charlotte) of Sissonville; daughters Susan Foster and her fianc̩ Rick and Rebecca Duffy (Kevin) of Oregon; Stepdaughters Mary Burgess of Marmet and Debbie Edelman(Jason) of London, WV; 16 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-great-granchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Lawrence and a brother, Sherman Hall. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Don Maxson officiating. Friends may call on the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Following the service Military Rites will be honored by the Jackson County Honor Guard. Burial will follow at the Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.
