James Matthew Hill

Rev. James Matthew Hill, 46 of Mineral Wells, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 15, 2017 following an auto accident. He was born April 1, 1971 at Parkersburg, the son of James Clark Hill and the late Constance Smith Jones. He was a graduate of Ritchie County High School and served in the US Army Reserves. He loved his Lord more than anything and served the children, teens, young adults and golden years groups at Ripley Baptist Temple. He was the Project Coordinator for Baptist Church Planting Ministry, Teacher-Volunteer for Character Under Construction at the Ripley Middle School, Volunteer for Rock of Ages Prison Ministries and a Foster Parent for 13 years. He had a Lawn Care Business that he cared for and enjoyed hunting and carpentry work. Most of all he loved sharing the Lord with all whom he came in touch with. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kimberly Hill; his children, James Hill II and his wife Macy of Youngstown, OH, Samantha Hill and her fiancé Anthony Holcomb, Dayton Hill, David “D.J.” Hill, Billy Hill, Laney Hill, Kaylee Hill, Coleman Hill, Lacey Hill, Ethan Hill and Silas Hill; Father James Clark Hill; Step Mother Judy Dix and sister Melissa Stackpole and her husband Randy of Little Hocking, OH as well as a large extended family. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Ripley Baptist Temple, 320 Charleston Dr., Ripley, WV with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery South, Parkersburg, WV. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Ripley Baptist Temple and one hour prior to the service at the church.
