James S. "Jake" Knowles Iii

James S. "Jake" Knowles III, 61 of Ripley passed away November 30, 2015 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born August 10, 1954 at Charleston, a son of the late James S. Jr and Lois Shamblin Knowles. He was a veteran of the US Navy. "Jake" worked as a Car Salesman for many years and worked for several local dealers including Tom Peden Chevrolet, Team Chevrolet and Bert Wolfe Ford. He is survived by two sons James S. "L.J." Knowles IV and Brandon Knowles; grandson Tres Aiden Knowles; brother Kevin Knowles; sisters Doreen Kinder and Robin Kiser; nephew Shawn Toney and niece Amanda Walton. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday December 10, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Friends may call from 5:00 pm until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
