James V. “Bubby” Kiser, 81 of Kentuck, was greeted at Heaven’s gates by his son Mike, brothers Ray, Charles and Richard and sisters Genevieve, Betty and Sissy on November 7, 2017. He passed away at Camden Clark Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 18, 1936 at Fletcher, a son of the late Hoyt and Mable Fowler Kiser. Bubby was an active member of the Goshen Baptist church in Kentuck. He gave his heart to the Lord August of 2016. He enjoyed going to church and fellowshipping with his church family. He retired from the WVDOH as a Supervisor with 30 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Phyllis Skeen Kiser; three daughters Debbie (Billy) Good of Kenna, Missy (Jim) Lynch of Parkersburg and Betty Kiser of Kenna; Six Grandchildren, James (Crystal) Kiser, Bill Good (Kelsey), Chad (Jennifer) Good, Stormy (Paul) Cavender, Jason Staats and Cheyenne Lynch; eight great grandchildren, Breanna Kiser (Stone), Draven Kiser, Mattyson Parsons, Johnny B. Good, Ali Staats, Kinley Good, Haylynn Cavender and Colt Cavender; two sisters, Maxine Chapman of Akron, OH and Nellie Parsons of Gay. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, November 11, 2016 at the Goshen Baptist Church, Kentuck, with Pastor Alan Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery, Kentuck. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
