James Howard Moore

James Howard Moore, 69, of Ripley passed way October 8, 2023 at his home.

He was a Christian and a faithful neighbor and friend. James worked for several years at the carnival at the 4th of July and for several years at the carnival at the Jackson county Jr. fair with his father-in-law Larry Starcher.

James also helped his father-in-law with cars for Frank Moores Cars.

James spent many years enjoying events with the family. He enjoyed going to family reunions with a very close friend, Virgil Parsons.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Janet Casto Moore, and his former late wife Elaine Miller Starcher Moore. He is survived by a son Jordan Moore of Ohio.

James had a lot of extended family. Special family members were Virgil Parsons and Patty of Ripley, James Parsons and Michelle of Sandyville, Megan Means and Bruce of Ripley, The Wilson family, Brother-in-law Christopher Starcher and Lisa of Ripley, Ricky Starcher and Amber of North Carolina. Sister-in-law Amanda Willliams of North Carolina, Former mother-in-law Hazel

Tucker of North Carolina, lots of nieces and nephews, and a very special friend and neighbor, Jamie Myers, of Ripley.

James was also a faithful member of the Bomar Club of Ripley for several years. At James request he will be cremated, and a memorial service will be set for a later date.
