James Lee White

James Lee White, "Jim Bob", 60, of Ripley, passed away suddenly on February 23rd, 2026 at his home.

 Jim Bob was born July 22nd, 1965, in the Kentuck area of Jackson County, WV. The son of the late Floyd Burns White and Dorothy Fay Harris White (Joseph Harmon). 

He worked for Asplundh Tree Company for several years in West Virginia and Indiana. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jim Bob was known for his deer jerky, loving heart and was a true friend to everyone. Jim Bob was a courageous soul who loved two states, his beloved home of West Virginia and Indiana where he found love and became a father and grandfather.

 Jim Bob is survived by his fiancé Debbie Halstead, daughter's Jamie Jane White (Dustin Colvin), and Kacey Yeater Mcdonald (Bruce). Brother Robert *Sambo* Aitken, Sisters Carolyn Sue Moore (David), Reva Harmon (Robert), Martha Pauley (Matt) and late Mary Jane Ray (Danny). Jim Bob was a grandfather to 7 grandchildren. He was a beloved uncle of several nieces and nephews and their children.
