Janet Marie Kessell, 77, of Ripley passed away Thursday, August 27th at the Hubbard House after a short illness.
Janet was born May 22, 1949, the daughter of the late Carl Kesell and Irene (Poe) Kessell.
Janet retired from Walmart after 20 plus years of service. Janet enjoyed quilting, crocheting and making many beautiful gifts for friends and family.
Janet is survived by her brothers James Kessell (Sherry), Boyd Kessell (Ellen), niece Chandra Engle (James), great-niece Mariah Engle, and great nephew Jesse Engle. Janet is also remembered by her friends at Hudson Place Apartments.
A service will be held at Waybright Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11a.m. Friends may call upon the family from 10a.m. until the service time. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Ripley.
