Janet Elaine Sams

Janet Elaine Sams, 68, of Ripley passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at her home following and extended illness.

She was born February 8, 1955 in Virginia, a daughter of the late Eugene and Elizabeth (Davis) Miller. In addition to her parents Janet was preceded in death by siblings Ernie, Joe, Danny, Ronnie, Julie, Norma Jean, Shelia Rae, Mike and Tina.

Janet will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved taking care of everyone. She also enjoyed flowers, taking four wheeler rides with her sister and working puzzles and crossword puzzles.

Janet is survived by her daughters Libby (Curtis) Raines and Diane Sams both of Ripley; son Stevie (Chrissy) Miller of Racine, OH; grandchildren Charlie (Michelle), Jessica (Matt), Curtis, Breanna, Alisha (Josh), Alivia, Keith (Savannah), Brian (Holly), Shyanne and Derrick; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Jeanie Williams of Ripley, Bugsy (Bill) Rhodes of Ripley and Michelle Miller of Ravenna, OH; brothers Sugie Miller of Ripley, Bryan (Becky) Braham, Jeffery Miller of Florida, Kenny Miller of Ohio, Michael Miller of Ohio and Ronnie Miller of OH; aunts Mare England, Susie Conrad and Virginia Maloy all of Ohio; uncles Ray Davis, Keith (Maria) Davis and Lynn (Karen) Davis.
