Janet Lee Witt

Janet Lee Witt, 78, of Ripley passed away August 14, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a long illness. She was born September 8, 1936 at Plum Orchard, daughter of the late Herbert and Wilma Chancey Parsons. She was a School Teacher having taught at Heritage Christian Academy in Ravenswood and The Roane-Jackson Technical Center. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harold E. Witt; sons Tim Witt and his wife Deanna of Ravenswood and Mark Witt and his wife Paula of Leroy; sister Mildred Hudnal and her husband Don of Poca; grandchildren Amanda Witt and Jeremiah Witt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Susan Kay Montgomery. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastors Ben Riggleman and Steve Raines officiating. Burial will be in the Parsons Cemetery, Gay, WV. Friends may call two hours (12 to 2 pm) prior to the service at the funeral home.
