Jean Dolan Vealey, 84 of Kenna went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. She was born November 26, 1930 at Charleston, daughter of the late Carl and Okla Fields Dolan. She retired as a Secretary with the West Virginia Department of Highways and was a member of the Grasslick Baptist Church. She was a Child of God and a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jack Vealey; sons Carl Vealey and his companion Lynn Sisson and Jeffrey Vealey and his wife Stephani; grandchildren Carly Patrick, Christina Patrick, Chelsea Davis and Dack Patrick III; great grandchildren Lexie and Bradley; nieces Doris Ann Lewis and her husband Fred and their children Janet and Joanna, and Barbara Sue Fageser and her husband Dart and their children Loren and Christian. Friends may call on the family from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Funeral service will be Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Grasslick Baptist Church, Kenna with Pastor Jimmie Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may also call on the family one hour prior to the service at the Grasslick Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations in Jeans memory be made to Kanawha Hospice, 1606 Kanawha Blvd W, Charleston, WV 25387, or the American Lung Association, WV Chapter, 2102 Kanawha Blvd E, Charleston, WV 25311.
