Jefferey A. Hess

Jefferey Allen Hess, 63 of Sandyville, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on February 24, 2025 following an illness. He was born February 12, 1962 to the late Howard and Leola Hess.

In addition to his parents, Jefferey was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Lynn Cranfield; his son Spc. David Alan Hess, a war veteran who gave his life for our country on October 10, 2010.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughters, Christie Hess (Lester Parker) of Pomeroy, Ohio and Sarah Luster (Charles) of Oneota, Alabama; brothers Doug (Brenda), Rob (Althea), and Scott Hess; grandchildren Lester (Faith), Haylei, Bryor, Leigha, Chad, Alex, Jayce, Amariah, and Leola; and a very special friend, Cycrecia VanFossen of Sandyville, WV.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the girls’ mother, Kathy Dowler for all of her help in caring for Jeff throughout his battle with cancer.
