Jerold Lynn Bowman

Jerold Lynn Bowman, 64 of Reedy passed away November 6, 2015 at his home following a long illness. He was born March 27, 1951 in Ararat, Virginia, son of Macy Montgomery Bowman of Proctorville, OH and the late Frank Bowman. He was a graduate of Spencer High School. Jerold was a true outdoorsman and respected nature. He loved to hunt but also make sure the animals were taken care of properly. He was a logger and owned Bowman Logging and Timber. He was an avid Chevy Muscle Car Man! In addition to his mother, Macy Bowman, he is survived by his wife Ellen Stewart Bowman; sons Seth (Misty) Bowman and Adam Bowman all of Reedy and Jesse (Jessica) Bowman of Spencer; Grandchildren Zachary and Abigail Bowman; brothers Jerry Bowman of Charleston, Johnny Bowman and David "Bud" (Janie) Bowman both of Spencer; sister Jackie (Charles) Struckle of Gay, Marie (Bill) Work of Williamstown and Martha (Mike) Dawson of Ripley, Mary Jane Bidal. He will be missed by his two fur babies "Tank" and "Princess". In addition to his father he was preceded in death by brother Jed "Tick" Bowman and an infant brother, Thomas Bowman. There will be a time of visitation on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. A funeral Procession will leave the funeral home for the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Roane County, following the visitation.
