Jesse L Barker

Jesse L. Barker, 77 of Sandyville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 7, 2017 at Charleston General Hospital following a short illness. He was born July 8, 1939 at Ashford, WV, a son of the late Virgil and Brookie Turley Barker. He was a Coal Miner for Cedar Coal Company. He was a born again Christian and member of the Grace Gospel Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sinda K. Barker; sons Jesse L. Barker II of Mocksville, NC, Greg and Tina Barker of Hurricane, WV and Kevin and Nikki Barker of Centerburg, OH; grandchildren Bryannah Barker of Hanford, CA, Tre and Gracie Martin of Hurricane, and Taylor, Madison, Rilee and Jayce Barker of Centerburg, OH; great grandchild, Keanu Barker; brothers Bill Barker of Hurricane, Harold Barker of LaGrange, OH and Kenneth Barker of Sistersville; his family by love, Steve and Nichole King and their children Smantha, Paige and Steven. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Virgil Barker Jr., Roy Barker and Colin Barker. Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm (Noon) Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Grace Gospel Baptist Church, Ripley with Pastors Jerry Bonnett and Al Mendez officiating. Burial will be in the Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV. Friends may call from 10 am until the time of service on Saturday at the Church., Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley is serving the family.
