James "Jim" Edward Bryant, 49, of Millwood passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at CAMC General following a short illness. He was born July 25, 1966 at Chicago, Illinois, a son of the late Cornelius James and Carol Ann Billie Bryant. Jim served his country in the United States Army for 4 years and would later become an Operating Engineer for IUOE Local 132. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jim was known as a prankster for all the pranks he pulled on his fianc̩. The things he enjoyed most of all was spending time with his kids and making people laugh. He is survived by his fianc̩, Jeanie Rowley; son James Edward Bryant, Jr. of Texas; daughters Damita Bryant of Texas, Kylee Nicole Bryant of Ripley, and Allie Bryant of Ripley; Brother Thomas Bryant (Beverly) of Leroy; Sister Ladonna Deem (Joshua) of Leroy. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Herman Robinson officiating. Friends may call on the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service. In honor with Jim's wishes he will be cremated following the service.
